Creator API

Get your YouTube, Medium, or Substack content into FoundOnArdy automatically.

Create an API key and send published content directly to FoundOnArdy. YouTube requires channel verification. Medium and Substack submissions, including creator custom-domain URLs, enter admin review before they can become searchable.

What is the Creator API?

Instead of manually adding each item, you or your software can tell FoundOnArdy when a YouTube video, Medium article, or Substack post is published. FoundOnArdy indexes submitted metadata and optional private searchable text, then links users to the original content.

Who is it for?

YouTube creators

Creators who want published videos to be easier to find.

Medium and Substack writers

Writers who want useful articles and newsletters discoverable by topic.

Developers and tools

Automation tools working for a creator.

Supported API sources: YouTube, Medium, and Substack.

How it works

  1. 1Create or sign in
  2. 2Verify YouTube only if you submit YouTube
  3. 3Create your API key
  4. 4Submit YouTube, Medium, or Substack content
  5. 5FoundOnArdy reviews it before publishing when required

Why verify YouTube?

Verification proves the user controls the channel they claim. It uses official Google/YouTube authorization with YouTube readonly access. It does not allow FoundOnArdy to upload, edit, or delete YouTube videos. The temporary Google access token is used for verification and is not stored as a reusable YouTube token.

Review and trust model

New creator submissions normally enter a review queue first. Trusted status is source-aware: eligible YouTube submissions may later be added automatically, but YouTube history does not auto-publish Medium or Substack posts. Medium and Substack remain admin-review controlled.

Quick start

curl -X POST https://www.foundonardy.com/api/creator/submissions \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer ***" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{"source_platform":"youtube","video_url":"https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dQw4w9WgXcQ","title":"Example: How I organize useful AI videos"}'
curl -X POST https://www.foundonardy.com/api/creator/submissions \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer ***" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{"source_platform":"medium","url":"https://medium.com/@creator/example-post","title":"Example Medium article"}'
curl -X POST https://www.foundonardy.com/api/creator/submissions \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer ***" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{"source_platform":"substack","url":"https://creator.substack.com/p/example-post","title":"Example Substack post"}'

Medium and Substack hosted or custom-domain URLs stay pending for admin review. YouTube requires channel verification before submission.

The public developer documentation includes the OpenAPI spec plus curl, Python, JavaScript, and Java examples.
